Meet the Staff of Brooks Eyecare Center

Dr. Robert F. Brooks

Dr. Robert Brooks is a graduate of Paul Blazer High School in Ashland KY. He completed his undergraduate work and earned his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston in 1980.

Dr. Brooks is a member of the Kentucky Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He is a past-president of the Kentucky Optometric Association and a past vice president of the Kentucky Optometric Foundation. He served on the KOA board of Trustees from 1994 to 2000. He serves on the board of the Greenup Business Association. He is a recipient of the KOA Presidential Award in 2001.
In 1998, Dr Brooks completed a three year course of study in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma from the Southern Council of Optometrists in Atlanta, Georgia. After completion he was awarded the Southern Diplomat in Glaucoma.
He currently resides in Russell with his wife Anita and son Jacob Brody. They attend Summit Church of the Nazarene.


Dr. Brad Morris

Dr. Brad Morris is originally from Jasper, AL. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001 from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN. While there, he was awarded the Excellence in Biology honor for maintaining the highest GPA in the pre-professional program. Dr. Morris also earned a Doctor of Optometry degree in May of 2005 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. He is a recipient of the Vistakon Excellence in Contact Lens Award. He is also a current member of the American Optometric Association and the Kentucky Optometric Association.

He is married to former Raceland native Jennifer Wheeler Morris and they have 2 sons, Jackson and Mason.

My name is Wendy. I am an optometric technician at Brooks Eyecare. I have a bachelor's degree from Marshall University and I joined Brooks Eyecare in 2005. My primary duties include performing the preliminary testing required before you see one of the doctors. Doctor's Assistant

My name is Brenda. I am an optometric technician at Brooks Eyecare. I have worked in several different fields in health care and found that this has been the most rewarding. I am working on a bachelor's degree from Kaplan University and I joined Brooks Eyecare in 2008. My primary duties include performing all preliminary testing required before seeing our doctors. Doctor's Assistant

My name is Nick. I am a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant (CPO) at Brooks Eyecare. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and I joined Brooks Eyecare in 2007. My primary duties include performing the preliminary testing required before you see one of the doctors. I am also an eyewear consultant and will work to help you find the perfect pair of glasses and lenses for your individual needs. In addition, I am a Low Vision Specialist and can assist you or any of your family members in customizing a low-vision program to meet your needs. Doctor's Assistant

My name is Mary. I am a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant (CPO). I have been with Brooks Eyecare since 2005. My duties include pre-testing patients as well as patient education. Lab Technician

My name is Sam. I am the lab technician at Brooks Eyecare. I manufacture the eyewear that the eyewear consultants help you select. I take my job very seriously and devote my knowledge of optics to each pair of glasses I manufacture. Eyewear Consultant

My name is Ali. I am a certified paraoptometric assistant and I was selected Kentucky's Paraoptometric of the Year in 2005. When you visit Brooks Eyecare, I am your personal eyewear consultant. I love to help you find just the right style, shape, color, etc. that accentuates your face shape, hair and skin color as well as overall lifestyle needs. Optical Shop Manager

Hi! My name is Kim and I joined the Brooks Eyecare staff as an Eyewear Consultant in the Spring of 2006. I am a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant (CP0) and an Opthalmic Dispensing Apprentice licensed by the State of Kentucky. In addition, I have over 15 years experience in customer service experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Morehead State University. Our goal in the Brooks Eyecare optical shop is to assist you in selecting quality eyewear that meets all of your visual needs. It is my responsibility to ensure that you receive the in best quality eyewear and customer service each time you visit our office. I look forward to working with you on your next visit. Eyeware Consultant

My name is Lacy. I am also an Eyewear Consultant at Brooks Eyecare. I look forward to helping you pick out a frame in the right style, shape and size that compliments your face shape, hair and skin color. Patient Care Coordinator

My name is Ginger. I am the Patient Care Coordinator here at Brooks Eyecare. My job is to ensure that you have a pleasant experience while visiting our office.
